Hero Hostess Blog Hop Continued!

Hello! Welcome to day two of the Hero Arts catalog blog hop, featuring the hostesses, using new 2011 stamps! Yesterday, five of my fellow hostesses shared their amazing talent! Didn't you love it?! My blog is the first stop of the day today, so if you missed yesterday's blogs, you can click here to be taken to the Hero Arts blog post from yesterday and start fresh. If you find a broken link, anywhere along the way, you can always go back to the Hero Arts blog for the master list, and please email tami@heroarts.com to provide the bad link, so we can fix it. Remember to leave comments at each blog along the way, for more chances to win a variety of the new 2011 stamps!

I love the stamps I received from Hero Arts to use on my cards! I had so much fun playing, mixing them together and using them with other Hero stamps too! The cards I'm featuring today will hopefully show you just how versatile these stamps can be. Whether your style is elegant or artsy, vintage or cute, you will love these new stamps! Now let's get started!

On this first card I used a beautiful flower from the clear set called, Blossom Art (CL495.) It's a set with 5 different flowers in various sizes and they are all so pretty! The leaf seen here is also included in the set. The sentiment is from another clear set called, With Sympathy (CL476.) I used Copic markers to color in the image but any markers would do. I also added some Glossy Accents to the colored dots in the center of the flower. It's a fun way to add shine and dimension!

Four different stamps were used on this next card. The background is stamped with the new wood block called, Diagonal Dictionary Type (S5497.) This design block stamp perfectly covers the entire card for a wonderful background! The leaves are a cling stamp, called, Leaf Cluster (CG288.) The flower is cut out from a larger, layered stamp called, Hand Drawn Flower (CG285.) The sentiment is from one of my favorite new clear sets called Thank You For Being My Friend (CL487.) It's chalked full of perfect sentiments for all your friends! The Leaf Cluster was stamped using Peeled Paint distress ink, then I spritzed it with water before stamping. The flower was colored with Copic markers, then covered with Frosted Lace Stickles. I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of vellum for a fun and different look.

I love this flower! It's a wood stamp called Ruffled Flower (S5482.) I stamped it onto a piece of cardstock, colored it using Copic markers, then cut it into square pieces. I adhered each square onto a light green panel, leaving a bit of space between each one. It's a fun way to add a neat effect to your cards. Light green Hero Hues Pearls were added to the center of the flower and the sentiment is from an older Sparkle Clear set called, Bunches of Thanks.

And don't forget, you can stamp on the inside of your cards as well. This sentiment is from the With Sympathy set. I love the beautiful font!

Hero Arts has created another pretty, new stamp called Ivy Wreath (S5490.) I used a variety of bright chalk inks for this card. I clear embossed the wreath and added a few embossed butterflies from a clear stamp set called, Big Hugs (CL456.) The sentiment is from a Sparkle Clear set called, Happy Day (CL169.) I love making circle cards and I die cut this shape using a Cuttlebug die cutting machine. The orange bow was added to the sheer yellow ribbon to finish off the wreath.

My final card today shows two more flowers from the Blossom Art clear set. Such fabulous images in this set! After stamping and white embossing them, I colored them with vibrant, Copic markers, cut them out and placed them in a group on the card. I then added Glossy Accents to each flower center. The card base was stamped with the Diagonal Dictionary Type, using Hero Arts Soft Purple Shadow Ink. I added a fun twist this time by cutting a portion off the side edge of the card before stamping and embossing the background. This is another wonderful sentiment from the Thank You For Being My Friend set.

Thanks for hopping in! I hope you're having fun because you DO NOT want to miss what our next hostess has in store for you! She is one of my favorite stampers and I know you'll agree. . . . she's amazing! Hop on over to Jill Foster's blog for more inspiration! Happy hopping! :)
